Cabinets
Kitchen, bathroom, built-in and garage cabinet installation and refacing, set level, anchored tight and tied in to your sink plumbing.
Need new cabinets installed in your kitchen, bathroom or garage?
We install kitchen, bathroom, built-in and garage cabinets and reface existing ones, setting every cabinet level, anchoring it to the wall and reconnecting your sink plumbing when the job is done. Cabinets look simple, but installing them well takes patience. Floors slope, walls bow and corners are rarely square. A cabinet that sits even slightly out of level shows it later as doors that drift open, drawers that rub and countertops that rock or crack. Because we are a plumbing company too, the sink, faucet, disposal and dishwasher connections are handled by the same team that sets the cabinets. Our cabinet work covers:
- Kitchen cabinets: base and wall cabinets, tall pantry cabinets and islands.
- Bathroom cabinets: vanities, linen cabinets and storage above the toilet.
- Built-ins: cabinets fitted into a mudroom, laundry room, home office or family room.
- Cabinet refacing: new doors, drawer fronts and a fresh outer surface on the cabinet boxes you already have.
- Garage cabinets: wall-hung and floor cabinets for tools, sports gear and storage.
Planning a full bathroom update? Our bathroom remodeling page covers the plumbing side, and the vanity and storage are installed here.
Warning signs it is time for new cabinets or refacing
Doors that sag or won't stay shut
Worn hinges and stripped screw holes are easy fixes. When a cabinet box itself has twisted out of square, though, doors will keep drifting no matter how often they are adjusted.
Water damage under the sink
A swollen, soft or stained floor in the sink cabinet usually comes from a slow drip at the drain or a supply line. Fix the leak first. Then replace the damaged cabinet before it crumbles.
Peeling, faded or worn finish
Doors and drawer fronts take the most wear. If the boxes behind them are still solid and dry, refacing can give the room a new look without tearing anything out.
Not enough storage where you need it
Counters buried in small appliances, a garage with tools on the floor, or a mudroom with nowhere for coats and boots are signs the room needs more or better-placed cabinets.
Common reasons cabinets fail early
They were never set level
Cabinets installed on an uneven floor without proper shimming twist slightly over time. The frames rack, the doors stop lining up and the countertop loses its support.
Moisture from leaks and steam
Sink bases, dishwasher sides and bathroom vanities take on water from slow leaks and daily steam. Particleboard swells, and joints let go.
Weak anchoring
Wall cabinets need screws driven into the wall studs. Cabinets hung on drywall alone, or on too few screws, can pull loose under the weight of dishes or tools.
Dry winters and seasonal swings
Wood shrinks and swells with the air around it. Northern Utah's dry winters and hot, dry summers move doors and face frames more than you might expect, so cabinets need room to settle in before final adjustments.
What to expect from a cabinet installation
Measuring and planning
We start with a visit during business hours to measure the room: wall lengths, ceiling height, windows, doors, and where the water lines, drains and outlets come through. We check the floor for level and the walls for bows. You get an installation plan and the price before any work starts. If your cabinets are still on the way, we confirm the measurements match the space so there are no surprises on install day.
Refacing or replacing
When the boxes are solid, dry and laid out the way you like, refacing makes sense: we install new doors and drawer fronts and cover the face frames and visible sides with a new surface. When boxes are water-damaged, sagging or in the wrong places, replacement is the honest answer. We look at the boxes with you and explain the tradeoffs plainly.
Removing the old cabinets
Before anything comes off the wall, we shut off the water and disconnect the sink, faucet, disposal and dishwasher. We take the old cabinets out carefully to limit damage to walls and floors, then look at what was hiding behind them. Hidden leaks, soft drywall or stuck shutoff valves are much easier to fix while the wall is open.
Leveling and anchoring
We find the high point of the floor and set the base cabinets from there, shimming each box until it is level front to back and side to side. Wall cabinets hang from a level line and are screwed into the studs, and neighboring boxes are fastened together so their faces line up. In a garage, where the floor usually slopes toward the door, careful leveling matters even more, and wall-hung cabinets get extra-solid anchoring to carry heavy loads.
Plumbing and finishing
With the boxes set, we cut openings for supply lines and drains, reconnect the sink, faucet, disposal and dishwasher, and test every connection for leaks. If old shutoff valves are corroded or stuck, this is the right time to replace them. Doors and drawers go on last and are adjusted until the gaps are even and everything closes square. Countertops are usually measured after the base cabinets are set and level, so we line up that timing with you.
How long it takes depends on the size of the room and how much plumbing changes. A single vanity is a short job, while a full kitchen takes several days of work, and countertop timing adds to the overall schedule. We give you a realistic timeline before we start and tell you right away if something behind the old cabinets changes it. New installations come with a workmanship warranty, and financing is available through our lending partners; see financing.
Once the new sink is in, you can have it checked each year along with the rest of the house. Our VIP Maintenance Plan costs $240 a year and includes one 2-hour visit a year covering an 88-point HVAC and plumbing inspection, a 1-inch filter replacement and a written report. Members also get 10% off repairs and priority scheduling.
Cabinet installation across Northern Utah
We install cabinets in the same towns where we handle heating, cooling and plumbing, from Brigham City to Ogden and across Northern Utah.
Box Elder County. Brigham City, Willard, Perry, Mantua, Tremonton and Corinne. Older homes here often have floors and walls that have settled over the years, which makes careful leveling the heart of the job.
Weber and Davis County. Ogden, North Ogden, South Ogden and Layton. Established neighborhoods bring kitchen updates in older houses, and newer subdivisions bring garages and basements ready for storage.
Cache Valley. Logan, North Logan, Smithfield, Hyrum and Nibley. Long, dry winters are hard on wood, so we let new cabinets settle before the final door and drawer adjustments.
