Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
The short version
- We collect what you give us (name, phone, email, address, what's wrong with your system) so we can answer you and do the job.
- We do not sell your personal information. We never have.
- We text you only if you check the box asking for texts. Reply STOP at any time to stop.
- Our website uses a small number of outside tools (hosting, form delivery, spam protection, maps, fonts and website analytics). Each is listed below.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected] or calling (435) 730-2536.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This notice explains how Your Comfort Heating & Air (also doing business as Your Comfort Plumbing, Heating & Air), a heating, air conditioning and plumbing contractor located at 503 S Main St, Brigham City, UT 84302 ("Your Comfort Heating & Air," "we," "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit yourcomforthvac.com (the "Site"), call or text us, submit a form, or apply for a job with us. It also covers information we collect while performing service at your home or business, to the extent it relates to the Site and our communications with you.
By using the Site or contacting us, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site. Separate written service agreements, financing agreements and our Terms & Conditions also apply where relevant.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and identity details — your name, phone number, email address and service address.
- Service details — the service you need, the description of your problem, equipment information, appointment preferences and any photos or notes you send us.
- Communication preferences — whether you agreed to receive text messages, and the date, time and wording of that consent.
- Job applicant information — if you apply on our Careers page: your name, contact details, the position you want, your experience, and the resume file you upload.
- Payment and financing information — we do not take payments on the Site. When you pay us in person or by phone, card details are processed by our payment processor. If you apply for financing, you apply directly with the lender (see section 6).
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is recorded in our hosting provider's standard server and security logs.
- Analytics and call-tracking data — where enabled, tools such as Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and WhatConverts record how visitors use the Site and which page or ad led to a call or form. If you call a number shown on the Site, the call-tracking service may record the calling number, time and length of the call, the page you were on and, where you are told at the start of the call, a recording of the call for quality and training.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see section 5.
Information from other sources
We may receive information about you from our financing partner (for example, whether a financing application was approved), from equipment manufacturers when we register a warranty for you, and from review sites such as Google when you choose to post a review.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your questions, give estimates, and schedule and perform service;
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, technician updates and follow-ups, by phone, email or (with your consent) text;
- To manage maintenance plans, warranties, invoices and payments;
- To review job applications and communicate with applicants;
- To understand how the Site is used, measure which pages and ads bring in calls and requests, and improve the Site and our services;
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms and systems;
- To comply with the law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
4. Text messages (SMS)
If you check the box on our service request form asking for text messages, you agree to receive text messages from Your Comfort Heating & Air at the mobile number you provided about your service request and appointments — for example, confirmations, reminders, technician arrival updates and follow-ups. We may send these texts using automated technology.
- Consent is optional. You do not have to agree to texts to request service or buy anything from us.
- Message frequency varies based on your service activity.
- Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan.
- To stop, reply STOP to any message. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed and then stop. You can also call or email us.
- For help, reply HELP or call (435) 730-2536.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
5. Cookies, analytics and Do-Not-Track
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. The Site uses:
- Essential technologies needed to load pages securely, deliver forms and block spam (including Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, which checks whether a submission comes from a person and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service).
- Embedded content — our Contact page shows an embedded Google Map, and the Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. These services receive your IP address and browser information when the page loads.
- Analytics and call-tracking cookies (where enabled) — Google Analytics and WhatConverts set cookies to measure visits and connect calls and form requests to the page or ad that led to them.
We do not use advertising pixels that build profiles of you across other websites for targeted advertising.
Your controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Global Privacy Control (GPC): we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. Because there is no single industry standard for older "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not respond to them separately, but GPC is honored.
6. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers who work for us under contract and may use your information only to provide their services to us: website hosting and delivery (Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare); our web developer, CI Web Group, which builds and runs the Site and delivers form submissions to our inbox; email and text-message delivery; spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA); maps and fonts (Google); analytics and call tracking (Google Analytics, WhatConverts); and our scheduling, invoicing and payment-processing tools.
- Financing partner — if you choose to apply for financing, you apply directly with our lending partner (currently GoodLeap), whose own privacy policy covers the information you give them. We may share your name, contact details and project amount with them to help process an application you started.
- Manufacturers and suppliers — to register equipment warranties and order parts for your job.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, a court order or a government request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, employees or the public.
- Business transfers — if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, customer information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy for information collected under it.
- With your consent or at your direction.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
No. We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the past 12 months. We do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than providing the services you request.
Utah residents
We are a Utah business serving Northern Utah. Whether or not the Utah Consumer Privacy Act applies to a business of our size, we give every customer these rights: to confirm whether we process your personal information and get a copy of it; to correct inaccurate information; to delete information you gave us; and to opt out of targeted advertising and of any sale of your personal information.
California and other state residents
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Texas or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, our purposes and the categories of third parties we disclose it to; access and receive a portable copy; correct it; delete it; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and profiling; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for using these rights. Over the past 12 months we have collected the categories described in section 2 (identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet activity, audio recordings of calls where disclosed, and applicant employment information), from the sources in section 2, for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them for business purposes to the categories of recipients in section 6. We extend these rights to every visitor, wherever you live.
How to opt out
On this device, open and choose "Reject optional." If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we apply it automatically, with no action needed from you. You can also opt out by contacting us as described below.
How to make a request
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request," or
- Call (435) 730-2536, or
- Write to Your Comfort Heating & Air, Attn: Privacy, 503 S Main St, Brigham City, UT 84302.
Tell us what you are asking for. To protect you, we will verify your identity by matching information you give us (such as your name, phone and service address) to our records. You may use an authorized agent, who must show your signed permission. We will respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more days and why. If we deny your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal"; we will answer your appeal within 60 days. We may keep information we are legally required to keep, such as invoices and tax records.
Marketing email and texts: use the unsubscribe link in any email or reply STOP to any text. We will still send messages you need about service you have booked unless you ask us to stop.
8. Payment security
The Site does not collect or store payment card numbers. Card payments made in person or by phone are handled by a payment processor that complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We do not keep full card numbers in our files.
9. How long we keep information
We keep customer and service records for as long as you are a customer and for up to seven years afterward to support warranties, maintenance plans, and tax and legal requirements. Form submissions that do not become jobs are kept for up to two years. Job applications are kept for up to two years unless you ask us to delete yours sooner. Call recordings, if any, are kept for no more than one year. Analytics data is kept according to the tool's settings (14 months for Google Analytics by default). We then delete or de-identify the information.
10. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections for the whole Site, spam protection on our forms, and access limited to staff who need the information to serve you. No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Utah law and any other law that applies.
11. Children's privacy
The Site is meant for adults arranging home or business service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Job applicants must meet the minimum age for the position.
12. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, the Better Business Bureau, manufacturers and our financing partner. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will give notice on the Site or contact you directly before it applies.
