Bathroom Remodeling in Northern Utah
Plumbing-led bathroom remodels across Northern Utah: new water and drain lines, showers, tubs, toilets, sinks and faucets that work for years.
Planning a bathroom remodel that starts with the plumbing?
We handle the plumbing side of a bathroom remodel: moving and replacing water and drain lines, then installing new showers, tubs, toilets, sinks and faucets so everything works when the walls close up. The plumbing is the part of a bathroom that is hardest to change later. Once tile and drywall go up, pipe locations are set for years. That is why we put the most care into the hidden work: lines in the right places, drains with the right slope, and shutoff valves you can actually reach. For a new vanity, linen cabinet or storage, our cabinet installation work fits right in. Bathroom remodeling is part of our plumbing services.
Warning signs your bathroom is ready for a remodel
Leaks around the toilet or tub
A soft spot in the floor near the toilet, loose tiles around the tub or a stain on the ceiling below the bathroom means water has been getting where it shouldn't, often for a long time.
A shower that swings hot and cold
Older shower valves can't hold a steady temperature when someone flushes a toilet or starts the dishwasher. A newer pressure-balancing valve keeps the water steady.
Fixtures crusted with hard-water scale
Faucets that won't shut off fully, showerheads with clogged holes and chalky toilet tanks are worn by minerals in the water. Past a point, replacing them beats cleaning them.
A layout that no longer fits your life
A tub nobody uses, a single sink for a busy family, or a high tub wall that is getting hard to step over are good reasons to rethink the room.
Common causes of bathroom plumbing wear
Hard water on valves and fixtures
Northern Utah's mineral-rich water leaves scale in cartridges, valves and fill valves. Parts stick, drip and wear out sooner.
Worn seals and wax rings
The wax ring under a toilet and the seals around tubs and drains dry out and fail with age, letting water seep into the floor.
Drains without the right slope or venting
Drains need a steady downhill slope and a vent pipe that lets air in. Without them, water drains slowly, traps gurgle and odors creep back in.
Moisture that never clears
A weak exhaust fan, or none, leaves steam behind after every shower. Over time that moisture peels paint, grows mildew and damages wood around the vanity.
What to expect from a plumbing-led bathroom remodel
It starts with a visit during business hours to look at the room, the water lines, the drains and your plans. Tell us what you want to change, such as a walk-in shower in place of a tub, a second sink, or a toilet in a new spot. We explain what each change means for the plumbing and give you the price before any work starts. If you are working with a contractor or other trades, we agree on pipe locations early so they line up with the tile, the vanity and the lighting.
Rough-in plumbing
Once the old fixtures are out, we run new supply and drain lines to the new fixture locations, set the shower or tub valve, and connect the drains to the vent. We test for leaks while the walls and floor are still open, because that is the cheapest time to fix anything.
Finish plumbing
After the walls, tile and floor are done, we come back to set the toilet, connect the sink and faucet, install the shower trim and tub spout, and test every fixture for leaks and steady flow. New installations come with a workmanship warranty, and financing is available through our lending partners; see financing.
After the remodel, a yearly plumbing check keeps the new room in shape. Our VIP Maintenance Plan costs $240 a year and includes one 2-hour visit a year covering an 88-point HVAC and plumbing inspection, a 1-inch filter replacement and a written report. It also brings members 10% off repairs and priority scheduling.
Bathroom remodeling across Northern Utah
We handle bathroom plumbing from our Brigham City base in three areas.
Box Elder County. Perry, Brigham City, Willard, Mantua, Corinne and Tremonton. Hard water wears out valves and fixtures here, so new parts are a big part of most remodels.
Weber and Davis County. South Ogden, Ogden, North Ogden and Layton. Older homes in established neighborhoods may still have their original shower valves and drain lines. In newer subdivisions, a remodel is more often about changing the layout.
Cache Valley. North Logan, Logan, Smithfield, Nibley and Hyrum. Winter inversions keep bathrooms closed up and steamy, so a working exhaust fan belongs in the plan.
