Industrial HVAC in Northern Utah

Heating, cooling, ventilation and make-up air for shops, warehouses and manufacturing spaces, installed and serviced around your hours.

Is your facility's HVAC keeping up with the work inside?

If work areas run hot, fumes hang in the air or energy costs keep climbing, your industrial HVAC system is likely falling behind. Shops and plants ask more of their heating and cooling than homes or offices do. Machines give off heat. Big open rooms are hard to heat evenly in winter. Exhaust fans pull air out, and that air has to be replaced. We install, fix and service HVAC equipment for shops, warehouses and plants across Northern Utah. Offices and stores are covered on our commercial HVAC page. Both are part of our commercial and specialty services.

Warning signs your industrial HVAC needs attention

Work areas overheat in summer

Heat from machinery, ovens and air compressors stacks on top of the summer heat. If parts of the floor get too hot to work in, the cooling or fresh air may be too small or worn out.

Fumes, dust or odors linger

Exhaust fans should carry fumes and dust out of the building. When they hang around, the fans may be weak, the filters may be clogged or the system may not move enough air.

Doors whistle, slam or fight you

That points to a building pressure problem. When exhaust fans pull out more air than the building takes back in, outside air rushes in through every gap and door. A make-up air unit fixes that. It brings in outdoor air, heats or cools it, and replaces what the fans pull out.

Rising energy costs and repeat breakdowns

Large systems use a lot of energy. When costs rise or units keep shutting off, the cause is often worn parts, dirty coils or controls set for the wrong hours.

Common causes of industrial HVAC problems

Heat loads that grew over time

New machines and more lights put more heat into the building. The original HVAC design never planned for it. The system keeps running, but it falls further behind.

Exhaust and make-up air out of balance

Adding an exhaust hood or fan without more make-up air throws off the pressure in the building. Heating bills go up, drafts get worse and comfort goes down.

Dust and debris from the work itself

Shop dust and seasonal dust from outside load filters and coat coils much faster than in an office. Filters that are not changed often enough cut airflow and wear out motors.

Controls that do not match your hours

Controls set for a standard day may run full blast while the building sits empty. Or they start too late to warm the floor before the first shift.

What to expect when you work with us

We start with a site visit during business hours. We walk the building with you and look over the equipment you have. We talk about the work done in each area, the heat it gives off and the hours you run. Then we write up a plan with the work and the price before any work starts. Our industrial work includes:

  • Installing and replacing heating, cooling and rooftop units, sized for the heat your building makes and loses.
  • Exhaust fans and fresh air systems, including make-up air units.
  • Energy and heat recovery units (ERVs and HRVs), which use the air going out to warm or cool the fresh air coming in.
  • Humidity control for rooms where the work needs it.
  • Gas piping for heating equipment through our gas line service.
  • Repairs to all of the above, and service visits set around your equipment and hours.

We plan the work so your crew can keep working. New installations come with our workmanship warranty, and repairs come with a warranty on parts and labor. Financing is available through our lending partners; see financing for details.

Industrial maintenance is planned site by site. Homeowners can also join our VIP Maintenance Plan. It is $240 a year for one 2-hour visit a year covering an 88-point HVAC and plumbing inspection, a 1-inch filter replacement and a written report, plus 10% off repairs and priority scheduling.

Industrial HVAC across Northern Utah

We serve shops, warehouses and plants from our home base in Brigham City. Buildings here need steady heat on sub-zero winter nights. They need cooling and fresh air through hot, dry summers.

Box Elder County: Brigham City, Corinne, Tremonton, Perry, Willard and Mantua.

Cache Valley: Logan, North Logan, Smithfield, Hyrum and Nibley. During winter inversions doors stay shut for weeks, so clean filters and good fresh air matter even more.

Weber and Davis County: Ogden, Layton, South Ogden and North Ogden.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between commercial and industrial HVAC?+
Industrial systems usually serve larger spaces with more heat from machines and processes, plus heavy exhaust and ventilation needs. Commercial HVAC covers offices, stores and similar buildings.
What is a make-up air unit?+
A make-up air unit brings in outdoor air, heats or cools it, and replaces the air your exhaust fans remove. It keeps building pressure in balance so doors close properly and drafts stay down.
How often should industrial HVAC equipment be serviced?+
More often than a home system, because it runs longer hours in dustier conditions. We set a schedule around your equipment and how your facility operates.
What do you need to price an industrial HVAC project?+
We need to see the site, know what equipment you have, understand the processes and hours in each area, and hear what you want to fix or add. After the visit we provide a written proposal.
